This position supports regulatory compliance and public safety by ensuring the accuracy consistency and compliance of all digital as-built records. The role is critical in enforcing standards maintaining digital records supporting GIS integration and mitigating safety risks. This position is considered Essential Personnel meaning the incumbent may be required to work during public emergencies hazardous conditions or inclement weather.
Key Responsibilities:
Enforce compliance with industry standards for digital as-built documentation.
Validate and verify field data to ensure accurate GIS and asset management records.
Collaborate with contractors field staff and internal teams to address documentation deficiencies.
Assist with transitioning paper records to digital systems ensuring proper metadata and formats.
Locate and as-built gas facilities to create accessible digital records.
Provide guidance and training on digital compliance tools and procedures.
Identify and correct documentation gaps or inconsistencies.
Support GIS integration for enhanced data accessibility and long-term asset tracking.
Maintain Operator Qualifications on all covered tasks.
Minimum Training and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three years of experience in the field or related area.
Equivalent combinations of training and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five years of experience in utility locating as-builting or compliance-related roles.
Familiarity with GIS systems (e.g. ArcGIS or similar).
Strong knowledge of federal and state utility infrastructure regulations.
Ability to analyze and validate technical field data.
Proficiency in GIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Attention to detail with consistent enforcement of standards.
Experience locating gas facilities.
Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and manage deadlines effectively.
Familiarity with utility operations and damage prevention protocols.
