Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team in Fresno this role you will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostic imaging procedures ensuring patient safety and maintaining the highest standards of quality in nuclear medicine. If you are detail-oriented passionate about patient care and skilled in operating nuclear medicine equipment this opportunity is for you.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts 40 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures using specialized cameras to detect and map radiopharmaceuticals in the body.
- Accurately position patients and select proper anatomic and technical factors for optimal imaging.
- Order prepare administer and properly dispose of radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with established safety protocols.
- Adhere to strict radiation safety standards to protect patients staff and yourself.
- Ensure all images and documents are high-quality properly labeled and submitted promptly to PACS.
- Monitor and maintain equipment functionality; promptly report issues or malfunctions.
- Lock/tag out equipment when necessary to ensure safety.
- Assist with departmental organization ensuring a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technician.
- Certification/Licensure: Current Nuclear Medicine certification and relevant state licensure (if applicable).
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging protocols safety procedures and equipment operation.
- Excellent communication organization and patient care skills.
