Description
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families in your community AMHC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Childrens Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) to join our Home and Community Treatment (HCT) Services team in Madawaska.
As a Childrens BHP youll provide in-home support and behavioral health services to children experiencing social-emotional challenges helping them and their families build practical lasting skills right in their natural environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside an HCT Therapist to deliver therapeutic interventions based on individualized treatment plans.
- Support children and families in their homes including during evenings and weekends when needed.
- Use evidence-based practices to teach children coping communication and behavioral regulation skills.
- Help families understand their childs development and implement strategies to respond to behavioral health needs.
- Maintain accurate timely case documentation following AMHC policies and standards.
- Collaborate with schools hospitals and other service providers to support holistic care.
- Assist in crisis response and work closely with AMHCs Mobile Crisis Services when necessary.
- Participate in treatment team and Behavioral Health Home meetings contributing to integrated care.

Requirements
- This position requires a minimum of 60 higher education credit hours in a related field of social services human services health or education a minimum of 90 higher education credit hours in an unrelated field or a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with children in a behavioral health services program.
- This individual will also need to complete the Behavioral Health Training within specific timeframes outlined in the policy regulations.
