Position Title: Analyst General Accounting
Department: Finance Shared Services Record to Insight (General Accounting)
Reporting To: Asst Manager - General Accounting
Position Summary
The Accounting Analyst will support the General Accounting tower focusing on journal entry preparation analysis and month-end closing activities across Cash & Intercompany for APAC EMEA and NAMER regions. This role requires a high level of accuracy analytical capability and initiative to identify process improvements and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare review and post journal entries for assigned area
- Assist in month-end quarter-end and year-end close activities to meet deadlines.
- Ensure all transactions comply with company policies internal controls and Accounting Standards
- Investigate and analyze unusual entries or variances; propose corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes automate tasks and improve efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and system enhancements.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- CPA license (preferred but not required)
Experience:
- 24 years of relevant accounting experience (shared services General Accounting or audit background preferred).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and journal entry processes.
- Experience in cash and intercompany accruals fixed assets and prepayment.
- Global exposure handling different currencies
- Handles Volume journal entries
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in all MS application; experience with Workday system is an advantage.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Initiative-driven with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Adaptable to shifting priorities during peak closing periods.
