Job Description
Job Summary
TheData Scientistwill be responsible for creating data models and advanced analytics that drive strategic decisions about product improvements. This role will collaborate closely with global service teams to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that address complex customer challenges. You should understand the impacts of environmental and other field conditions as they relate to product service.
This position will be based onsite at Vertivs Westerville OH location.
Responsibilities:
- Create reports and analysis for a variety of business departments within service operations
- Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
- Understand key paths patterns and customer behaviors leading to desired as well as undesired business outcomes; perform deep data analysis to understand root causes and develop business strategies to solve problem areas
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Data Science Computer Science Math Statistics Reliability Engineering orequivalent experience
- 1-5 years of experience
- Strong knowledge and experience of relational databases and SQL
- Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Basic knowledge in power/electrical engineering; AC and DC power <20kVA circuits IGBTs inverters rectifiers microprocessor and sensor interfacing firmware interfacing DC batteries connectors/wire- harnesses
- Basic knowledge in large- and small-scale cooling systems
- Python or other coding and modeling language
- Minitab or other statistical software tools
- Travel up to 5%
