The primary focus of this position is to deliver HR services and solutions with a strong emphasis on strategic customer delivery and Learning Management System (LMS) support. This role monitors and manages HR system tickets by investigating resolving or reassigning requests and incidents. It requires developing a deep understanding of Markels HR systems and organizational structure and processes to provide effective user guidance and transactional support. The Specialist collaborates with functional and technical teams to resolve complex issues and continuously improve service delivery. Responsibilities include identifying and proposing system or process improvements supporting Workday data audits ensuring data integrity through analysis and corrections assisting with mass data uploads and maintaining related documentation. The role also supports user education opportunities system testing efforts (including planning execution issue resolution and UAT) and serves as a key contact for LMS-related requests. Additional duties include executing operational system setup tasks and transactions providing White Glove support to senior leaders handling special projects and maintaining procedural documentation and knowledge base content.

  • Provide high quality customer service to ensure needs are met across all HR system incidents and with functional and technical staff on resolutions as needed.

  • Monitor and manage HR system tickets by investigating resolving or reassigning requests and incidents. Maintain all the procedural documentation and tickets handling map.

  • Serve as a point of contact for LMS-related requests guiding customers through the content intake process fulfilling setup requests supporting attendance management needs and Instructor system education.

  • Develop a deep understanding of Markels HR systems and organizational structure to provide effective user guidance and transactional support.

  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to resolve complex issues and continuously improve service delivery. Propose process or system improvements in support of the end user experience.

  • Develop and maintain HR system-related sites job aids reference materials process documentation and deliver training content to global HR teams and system users. Facilitate Workday new user onboarding and system access rights.

  • Execute operational system setup tasks and transactions including White Glove support for senior leaders.

  • Maintain documentation on operational system setup tasks and transactions in scope of the HR Technology Support team. Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions as needed.

  • Support Workday data accuracy review audits and ensure data integrity through analysis and corrections assisting with mass data uploads maintaining related documentation user education opportunities and lower-tenant refresh setups.

  • Maintain documentation on data activities and process in scope of the HR Technology Support team.

  • Participate in system testing efforts including test planning executive and issue resolutions. Including staging on-demand transactions and assisting global HR team with other testing or project needs.

  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) activities. Develop and administer testing plans facilitate testing issues resolutions and actively participate in Agile deployment process.

  • Identify and propose system or process improvements that enhance efficiency and user experience. Assist in the development and deliver simple standard reports or data compilation tasks per customer or HR team needs.

Education

  • Bachelor degree in human resources or related field preferred

Work Experience

  • Minimum 1-2yrs supporting HR systems or HR experience

  • Minimum 2 yrs of customer service or user support experience must

  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar tools plus

  • Experience with Workday plus

Skill Set

  • Familiar with HR processes data and system design structure functions and processes.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable using data/reporting tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced preferably global environment.

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and follow-through on tasks and projects. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across functional teams.

  • Exercises good judgement and actively practice confidentiality and adherence to policy.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills including Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint. Basic Teams skills.
