Job Description
Medical Device Manufacturer in Long Island is seeking a CNC Programmer.
Summary - CNC Programmer and Setter
Program and Set-Up various CNC machines. PREFERABLY SWISS 6-11 axis
Job Duties:
-Develop CNC Programs
-Set up CNC machines.
-Develop CNC machining process for new projects.
-Maintain effectiveness and efficiency.
-Apply the best strategy and techniques to obtain the most efficient and capable process.
-Selecting appropriate cutting tools and work-holding tools for new projects
-Provide training for machine operators for each new set up/process.
-Update and modify outdated programs implement the latest cutting techniques and lean methodology.
-Troubleshoot minor machine errors program errors.
-Maintain quality and safety control standards.
-Successfully pass First piece inspection and deliver capable process to production team.
-Effectively work with other departments to achieve the common goal
Necessary Education Skills and Competencies (including licensing and certifications):
Requirements:
-TORNOS DECO
-Geometry
-Algebra
-Ability to lift 30lbs.
-2 years set up experience in house or previous employer.
-Programming: in-house training and trade school or minimum 2 years programming experience with Swiss Screw machines
-5 years min Swiss Screw Machine operation experience
-In-house QSP training
Salary rangek - approx 50 hours a week
