Executive Director Facilities Operations & Maintenance

The University of Miami/UHealth department of Facilities has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Executive Director Facilities & Operations to work at the UHealth Medical Campus. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the safety maintenance and the day to day functions of the Central Energy Plant and Physical Plant Operations to ensure quality service for both internal and external customers of the University of Miami Medical Campus and outlying health care Satellites. The Executive Director for Facilities Operations and Maintenance reports to the Assistant Vice President Facilities Operations and Maintenance for the University of Miami Health System and Miller School of Medicine. Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Operational Effectiveness Work with the Assistant Vice President Facilities and Operations and Maintenance to establish short- and long-term departmental goals objectives strategic plans policies and procedures. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements.

This position provides leadership and management responsibility over facilities operations and maintenance for medical education and research facilities on the Medical Campus in downtown Miami. Oversee approximately 25 employees and various contractors in supporting roughly 1.8 million square feet. This position is essential and considered a tier 1 position under the University Declared Emergency Employee Responsibilities and Compensation Policy.
