Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Spring Hill on a full-time basis.
The Role:
As a member of the Supply Chain team you will be responsible for support in one of the key areas: manufacturing/warehouse operations supply chain systems and processes launch execution and scheduling and material management. You will act as a liaison between purchasing engineering warehousing/manufacturing logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and to provide support.
What Youll Do (Responsibilities):
Mentor team members who manage scheduling systems including but not limited to GEPICS FLEXIS ECS GSIP etc.
Turn company-wide production plans into detailed schedules for our plant.
Handle replacement orders when vehicles are built incorrectly or damaged.
Keep track of vehicle identification number (VIN) procedures.
Participate and lead weekly meetings to help make sure orders are filled correctly.
Manage rules for how vehicles are built including:
Spacing: Making sure vehicles are built in the right order.
Batch painting: Grouping vehicles with similar paint jobs.
Option leveling: Balancing features across vehicles to help the assembly line work better.
Help planProduction Trial Runs (PTRs) test builds for parts or materials that are changing due to engineering updates.
Use and maintain systems that support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (GMS).
Control early builds and make sure the production line stays full and efficient.
Help predict which vehicle options customers will choose.
Work with the marketing team to:
Speed up urgent orders.
Make changes to existing orders.
Handle special customer requests.
Answer questions about vehicles from dealers customers and employees.
Create parts lists for special builds (like new features or paint colors).
Track and manage early builds and any over- or under-production usingMGO our corporate mainframe system for managing vehicle orders.
Share updates for daily production performance.
Maintain accurate production manifests requests.
Cross functionally coordinates with departments to establish and maintain build restrictions.
Keep scorecards and charts to show performance.
Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
Basic understanding of vehicle scheduling and how MGO works.
Experience with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication skillsboth speaking and writing.
Ability to work well with others and build strong working relationships.
Familiarity with computer systems used in manufacturing (like GEPICS and mainframe applications).
2 to 4 years of experience in vehicle scheduling or plant materials operations.

A college degree in Supply Chain Management is preferred but similar experience will be assessed
