Bill C92 (Child & Family Services) PLANNER
SUMMARY
The Lillooet Tribal Council (LTC) is seeking an individual with experience in community planning to conduct child and family services planning. LTC and Kanukwa7staliha Family Services (KFS) currently provide a range of services to children and families in the northern Státimc Territory. However it is now time to expand services to implement Státimc jurisdiction in this area.
The project will consist of three distinct themes:
1. Governance: explore the accountability relationships between a northern Státimc governing body and the communities it serves.
2. Service Delivery: engage the northern Státimc communities to determine what services the communities will deliver directly to their members and what services are best delivered collectively including researching best practices and service models.
3. Legal: support communities to draft child welfare laws based on their community priorities values/principles and readiness.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience in completing similar community-based planning preferably in the health or social services sectors.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work collaboratively with communities and leadership on governance planning.
- Facilitate engagement with communities to assess service delivery needs and best practices.
- Support communities in drafting child welfare laws aligned with their values and readiness.
- Prepare planning documents reports and recommendations as required.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure effective communication throughout the planning process.
COMPENSATION This position is full time (part-time may be considered). Wage range of $30.00 $35.00 per hour.
