Senior Duty Manager Leading Leisure Centre

Are you ready to step into a dynamic leadership role at a thriving leisure centre that makes a real difference in its local community Were recruiting for a Senior Duty Manager to join a leading leisure brand based in West London a progressive organisation known not only for its outstanding fitness facilities but also for offering inclusive community services like junior programmes and holiday camps.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual with experience in leisure operations whether youre stepping up from Team Leader or looking for your next challenge in a supportive development-focused environment.
As a Senior Duty Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our leisure centre ensuring smooth operations and a first-class customer experience. Youll take particular ownership of wet side operations including lifeguard team performance pool plant operations health & safety and event coordination.
You will also:
- Act as key holder responsible for opening and closing the site during your shift
- Supervise and coordinate the daily maintenance cleaning and safety standards of the facility
- Lead on daily weekly and monthly pool plant operations and hygiene checks
- Coordinate wet side rotas events galas and holiday camps
- Handle H&S incidents safeguarding concerns and customer queries or complaints
- Report directly to the General Manager and liaise with the senior leadership team
What Were Looking For:
- Experience managing operations within the leisure health or fitness sector
- Supervisory or line management experience youre confident leading teams and meeting KPIs
- Strong organisational skills able to balance operational staffing and customer needs
- Knowledge of recruitment payroll training and performance management
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Health & Safety awareness with ability to manage risk in a critical environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid at Work
- NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) or willingness to work towards
- Pool Plant Operator Certificate (PPO) or willingness to work towards
