Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in assessing diagnosing and delivering tailored interventions for children and young people with a wide range of Speech Language and Communication Needs (SLCNs). This role involves collaboration within multidisciplinary teams adherence to evidence-based practices and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Responsibilities:

Assess diagnose and deliver effective treatment plans for children and young people with diverse SLCNs.

Develop and implement intervention strategies rooted in evidence-based practices.

Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to create and refine individualized care plans.

Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in line with clinical and legal standards including Educational Health Care Plans.

Deliver therapy both in person and via telehealth platforms.

Advocate for children and young people with special educational needs.

Stay up to date with advancements in SLCN teletherapy and related fields.
Primary Skills:

Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.

Expertise in evidence-based intervention strategies for paediatric SLCNs.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in IT systems for teletherapy and record management.

Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Knowledge of customer service principles in healthcare settings.

Additional certifications in telehealth mental health or special educational needs.

Experience in line management or supervision.

Clinical specialism within speech and language therapy.

Experience delivering therapy online.
Qualifications:
-
Degree or Masters in Speech and Language Sciences (or equivalent).

Valid HCPC registration.
-
Full RCSLT certification (NQPs must have completed all requisite stages).

Minimum 3 years experience in paediatric speech and language services.

Clear DBS clearance.
