Description
We are currently seeking candidates for the CNA Training Class at the Center on Aging and Health. Class starts September 29 2025. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care and support to residents. This position is vital to ensuring the well-being and comfort of our patients making it an integral part of our healthcare team. You will have the opportunity to work on various healthcare projects and contribute to the overall quality of care provided at our facility.
As a CNA Training Class participant you will receive comprehensive training to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to excel in this role. You will work closely with experienced healthcare professionals to learn best practices in patient care communication and teamwork. Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing dressing and grooming
- Monitor and report changes in patient health status to the nursing staff
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding residents as needed
- Follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals
- Document patient interactions and care provided
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
- Physical stamina to assist residents with mobility and daily tasks
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
