Nissha Medical Technologies is hiring for a Warehouse Supervisor in Buffalo NY! This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations including order fulfillment shipping and inventory management. This person will drive process improvements ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and support the development and training of warehouse staff to meet quality productivity and customer service goals.
Essential Job Functions- Participate in the development and communication of the companys mission strategic plans and budgets
- Execute operations to ensure daily shipment objectives are achieve
- Provide role-model leadership in driving change to achieve continuous improvement through Lean best practices in warehousing material flow and logistics
- Oversee daily floor activities to ensure shipments are processed according to business guidelines and standard operating procedures
- Supervise the inbound operation from receiving to storage of raw material
- Ensure products are delivered to the manufacturing floor accurately and in a timely manner
- Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement activities
- Recommend and initiate cost reduction programs centered around capital improvements where ROI and payback criteria are favorable
- Support inventory accuracy activities to achieve annual targets
- Act as liaison between manufacturing logistics and customer service as needed
- Serve as a point of escalation for transportation issues
- Provide leadership coaching performance management development training and issue resolution to associates
- Support the establishment and maintenance of performance metrics
- Monitor performance and effectiveness of operations through Leader-Standard Work
- Oversee execution of training requirements
- Evaluate and ensure working instructions and standard operating procedures are up to date
- Ensure training and quality policies are being properly followed
- Lead the process of selecting and hiring new talent
- Take ownership of safety initiatives including incident investigations and reporting within the required timeframe
- Incorporate safety considerations in monthly department meetings to raise awareness and ensure tasks are performed safely and in accordance with housekeeping standards
Requirements- Bachelors degree in Operations Management or related field or equivalent professional leadership experience in an operations environment with a HS Diploma/GED.
- Must have at least 5years of demonstrated leadership experience in a 1st-line Supervision or Management capacity.
- Experienced in GMP MRP Kaizan TQM and ISO 9001 policies and procedures
Knowledge Skills & Abilities- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Team-oriented management style with demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills
- Good planning and problem-solving skills with proven track record in achieving results through or with other team members
- Capable of communicating and working with people at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to motivate teams and establish goals metrics data and plans to achieve organizational objectives.
- Demonstrated innovation creativity and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of lean material concepts and application in warehousing and logistics.
- Knowledge ORACLE transactions and navigation is a plus.
- Familiar with WMS operation is a plus.
- At least intermediate level knowledge of MS-Office Capabilities (Word PowerPoint Excel).
