Direct management of local Sherwin-Williams Delivery Service drivers: managing daily operations (driver start-up meetings driver ride alongs driver productivity and providing feedback/coaching.
MonitorandevaluatethesafetyperformanceofeachDriverdaily.
Understand and effectively supervise and influence Sherwin-Williams Delivery Service drivers with regard to delivery driver policy and procedures including safety and compliance issues.
Work with Safety teams and Sherwin-Williams Delivery Service leadership to facilitate and/or provide content for regular training of drivers regarding operations safety and compliance priorities.
PartnerwithArea-levelDistrict-levelFleetSafetyandSherwin-WilliamsDeliveryServiceOperations resources to resolve ad-hoc driver and/or Fleet related issues impacting compliance safety vehicle maintenance and/orefficiency.
Conduct all aspects of the hiring process: recruiting interviewing and new driver onboarding to ensure all new drivers are welcomed appropriately trained and possess the adequate skills and service levels to be successful.
ProactivelyseekdeliveryexperiencefeedbackfromdriversSherwin-Williams store employees and external customers.
Frequent inter-District travel to Sherwin-Williams store locations delivery vehicle parking terminals District office(s) and customer job site locations.
AnalyzetelematicsFleetanddeliveryreportingregarding safedrivingvehiclemaintenanceand operational efficiencies: recommend action items and process improvements.
Serve as a subject matter expert on delivery driver policy and procedures.
Achieve and maintain goals set by the company and the district manager.
Create driver work schedules on a bi-weekly basis.
Other duties and/or ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
2yearsofexperienceworkingintheSherwin-WilliamsDeliveryServiceand/ormanagement transportation/logistics customer support.
Useofotherofficesystemssuchase-mailcalendarandotherancillaryfunctions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Have a Bachelors Degree in a business-related field.
CommercialDriversLicense.
Directexperienceintransportation/logisticsand/orfinalmiledeliveryservices.
LeanOperationsandTransactionalLeantraining.
KnowledgeandexperienceusingTransportationManagementSoftwaresuchas:DescartesRoute Planner and MobileLink GeoTab Glympse.
