An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the Director Consumer Finance helping to drive the divisions strategic agenda and maintain operational excellence. The Consumer Finance directorate oversees the supervision of approximately 30000 flexible firms and leads on policy development for the credit market.
This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the Director and collaborate with teams across the entire directorate. With a broad and varied remit you will play a key role in enabling the directorate to deliver on its objectives and contribute to its continued success.
What will you be doing
Support the Director in advancing the Directorates strategic objectives by working closely with the Director and PA offering advice and guidance to the Senior Leadership Team where appropriate and engagement with the Executive Directors private office
Coordinate the day-to-day and forward-looking operations of the Directors office including business planning budget oversight and management of cross-directorate workstreamsstaying aligned with both internal and external developments relevant to the FCA
Draft and manage key communications and documentation on behalf of the Director such as presentations Directorate notes meeting agendas and speaking engagement materials
Provide strategic coordination and briefing supportpreparing high-quality briefing materials for senior meetings and reviewing contributions from others to ensure consistent standards
Represent or accompany the Director in meetings and act as a key point of contact by ensuring timely escalation of important matters and sharing relevant updates across the Directorate Division and private offices and ensure that the Director is kept abreast of priority risks and issues
Track and follow up on actions and insights stemming from MI packs and Directorate responsibilities liaising with relevant Business Partners Heads of Department and other stakeholders to ensure momentum and accountability

Minimum
Experience applying UK financial rules and regulations
Experience demonstrating strong organisation prioritisation and time management skills including managing high-volume workloads to a high standard within tight deadlines
Experience driving operational excellence with a proactive independent approach and the ability to identify and implement improvements
Essential
Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly grasp complex information understand its context and implications anticipate issues and consistently deliver outcomeswhile ensuring others do the same
Strong oral communication skills adaptable to different audiences and the integrity to handle confidential matters with discretion and build trust
Experience engaging confidently and effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders to build maintain and develop key relationships
Ability to guide others to successfully deliver divisional priorities such as Business Planning and RCSA alongside a good understanding of the FCA and its wider context
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
