Job Description
Waste Connections is Hiring a Automated Side Load in Miami FL!
PAY: $23-$25/hr DOE working 50-55 hours a week.
A typical schedule is Monday Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed. The workweek is approximately 50-55 hours.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate a Automated Side Load garbage truckon specified routes to collect commercial solid waste.
- Ensure accurate and timely collection and disposal of waste by operating hydraulic systems to empty containers.
- Interact courteously with customers while performing the job.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during collection and disposal.
- Perform a physically demanding job including loading and unloading waste from front-load containers.
- Maintain cleanliness of the truck and work area.
- Follow route sheets and service each customer assigned by the dispatcher.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Extensive physical activity including heavy lifting pushing or pulling objects over 50 pounds.
- Work environment may involve some exposure to physical risks including moving mechanical parts requiring basic safety precautions.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions including wet/humid conditions as well as fumes and vibration. Noise levels are typically moderate.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs without accommodation.
- At least 2 years of stable job history with most recent job being a CDL driver position
- At least 2 years of CDL driving experience.
- No accidentson driving record in the last five years
