We are seeking a Senior Hardware Quality Engineer with hands-on hardware quality experience to become a key part of Operations Quality Team. Here at Raytheon our Operations Quality Team assures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement.

What You Will Do:

Baseline factory metrics (Scrap Rework FPY etc.) identify top drivers forecast future demand for top drivers and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.

Engage MFG DPT teams to ensure alignment on top priorities (using baseline data and future forecast) to drive containment Root Cause Analysis and associated Corrective Action Implementation.

Perform process walks operator observations and lead MFG team discussions to drive process enhancements to reduce variation.

Lead/Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA control Plans SPC etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand.

Identify supplier escapes/issues and ensure proper containment and backflow to the Supplier Quality Management team.

Perform verification and validation of improvements to understand effectiveness.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires aBachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or other technical field of study and less than 2 years of Quality Engineering experience
Manufacturing process experience (assembly inspection test)
Experience in identifying root cause and initiating/implementing effective short-term and long-term corrective actions
Experience in development/usage of Quality metrics that may be used to drive true root cause and long-term corrective action and in the identification/institution of perceptive verifications.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 JSTD-001 and MIL-HDBK-454
Demonstrated knowledge of key process characteristics and ability to implement effective process control techniques
Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems
Six Sigma ASQ Certifications
Proficient in the use of pareto analysis cause/effect diagrams process mapping
Able to facilitate cross-functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g. 6-sigma lean manufacturing)

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 55000 USD - 107000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
