Medical Marijuana METRC Specialist (Compliance Specialist 1)

Job Description:

The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) oversees access to alcohol and cannabis products in Oregon through education regulation and distilled spirits distribution. Our aim is to protect public health and safety while supporting responsible businesses and providing funding for local and state agencies.

The agency is comprised of three major operational programs: the Distilled Spirits Program the Recreational Marijuana Program and the Public Safety Program. All three programs are supported by the Administration Financial Services and Support Services divisions. Revenue generated from these programs helps support state and local government programs.

This position is with the Public Safety Program which licenses and regulates businesses in both the marijuana and alcohol industry. This includes manufacturers wholesalers bars restaurants grocery convenience stores and the operation of the recreational marijuana industry in Oregon.

Heres what you will do:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional level accountability to Oregon Health Authority registrants that are required to track product in the METRC system. Interprets rules and laws in relation to licensees and registrants inventory records and reported activity in the Cannabis Tracking System (METRC) to determine compliance or non-compliance. Acts as a technical resource for industry members and agency staff. Works with other CS1s within the same Division to assist in tracking recreational marijuana licensees compliance tracking.

Heres what you need to qualify:

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action or decide eligibility or compliance with program guidelines and regulations.


Note: college-level course work may substitute for the experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year of experience
