Lead Engineer Process AFC Capital

Job Description

Organization Relationships:

  • Reports to Sr. Manager - Capital Adult & Feminine Care Nonwovens - ECE NA Capital Execution
  • Interacts frequently within various segments of the Personal Care Value Stream organization as well as Mill Operating Teams Staff Manufacturing Research & Engineering (R&E) Planning Distribution and Procurement.
  • Receives project assignments from the various Capital Managers across the ECE NA Capital Organization. May flow to work as needed across the NAPC Value Streams.

In this role you will:

  • Drive the development and execution of the process portion of capital projects using the Kimberly Clark NA Project Management Practices (PMP) process as projects are assigned.
  • Effectively collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes R&E Supply Chain mill operations procurement equipment suppliers and external service providers.
  • Prepare and implement project budgets and schedules. Implement appropriate internal controls and standards to ensure compliance with applicable policies laws and regulations.
  • Conceive develop validate and share ideas leading to new or improved products processes materials systems or scientific knowledge aligned with business unit objectives.
  • Drive a culture of protected and documented innovation to protect and defend K-C proprietary technology products and business processes through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets. This includes completing required project documentation through EFS EDR and Appropriation activities and following PMP documentation including Corporate Financial Instructions (CFIs).

To succeed in this role you will need the following qualifications:

  • A relevant-discipline Bachelors degree or Masters degree (e.g. Science or Engineering related)
  • 3 years of related technical experience in mill production or staff R&E environments.
  • Preferred candidate has subject matter expertise in Personal Care converting processes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the following Process and Project Engineering competencies:
    • Learning Plans Training Development Centerlining Web Handling etc.
    • Project Management (PMP)
    • Converting Process Troubleshooting
  • Proven ability to establish strong effective cross-functional network.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to adapt to rapidly changing business priorities and assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or to lead a team to complete process-centric tasks and projects

Work Environment:

  • On-site and remote office conditions under KC Flex that Works Policy: Youre looking to make a difference. When and where it works best for you.   • Manufacturing facilities Vendor OEM visits as projects dictate (i.e. equipment review acceptance testing etc.)
  • Travel is required for this role. Typical level of travel is up to 30% heavier travel may be required at times during project installations depending on duration or complexity of project.

Salary Range:USD

At Kimberly-Clark pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve thrive and grow. Along with base pay this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as location role skills performance and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
