POSITION: Packaging Lab Technician
FULLTIME: 12-month assignment
LOCATION: Marlborough MA (onsite)
SCHEDULE: 8am-4:30pm
PAY RANGE: $20-26/HR
(Exact compensation may vary based on skills experience and location. Base pay information is based on market location.)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Work with departmental engineers to provide Packaging Engineering support for the project related to product package and label testing. Assists in generation of Packaging -related documentation including test data records and reports. Responsible for the coordination and creation of technical documentation and facilitating testing activities. Works closely with other members of the Packaging Engineering department and interact with project team.
Key Responsibilities
Execute assigned tasks for project deliverables.
Organize coordinate and execute testing of packaging designs with engineering guidance.
Support new test methods and/or revise existing test methods.
Prepare reports/documentation to communicate results to the technical community.
Use developed networks in assisting engineering teams in obtaining necessary materials services and test data.
Basic Qualifications:
Background working in a technical laboratory or Quality role
Two-year technical degree preferred (AA AS or Certificate) preferred.
0 2 years of experience in Packaging or related technical discipline preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Good written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Work as a team player
Good technicalaptitude
Strong attention to detail
Familiarity with packaging materials
Basic computer literacy (Excel Outlook etc)
Knowledge related to packaging components (Film Tyvek Carton Labels Corrugated Pouches).
Experience performing visual inspections on Packaging materials preferred.
Familiarity with ASTM / ISTA package testing requirements preferred.
Familiarity with the medical device industry FDA regulations quality systems and sterilization preferred.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively manage priorities.
Ability to lift boxes up to 30lbs.
