Overview
The Fountainhead Group (FGI) is undergoing a major supply chain realignment including product repatriation to strengthen resilience and reduce risks associated with global sourcing. To support this critical initiative we are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer who will focus exclusively on supplier qualifications product validation and ensuring that all new sourcing initiatives meet FGIs rigorous quality standards.
This role is essential to safeguarding product integrity accelerating supplier onboarding and ensuring the long-term success of our supply chain transformation.
This is an onsite/in-person position based in New York Mills New York.
Responsibilities
- Lead qualification and validation efforts for new suppliers components and subassemblies tied to the supply chain realignment.
- Develop and implement quality plans inspection criteria and test protocols to ensure robust product validation.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement Engineering and suppliers to define quality requirements and resolve issues.
- Perform data-driven analysis of qualification results and provide recommendations for supplier approval or remediation.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) where quality risks are identified.
- Support the creation of documentation including qualification reports risk assessments and validation records.
- Serve as a liaison with vendor quality teams to ensure compliance with FGIs standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all qualification activities are completed on time and to specification enabling smooth supplier transitions.
- Support supplier audits and evaluations including travel to vendor facilities as required.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience in quality engineering supplier quality or manufacturing validation.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems standards and tools (e.g. ASQ/ANSI Z1.4 PPAP FMEA control plans SPC).
- Hands-on experience with qualification and validation of new suppliers and/or production processes.
- Skilled in root cause analysis problem-solving methodologies and risk management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working cross-functionally and directly with suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines while maintaining a high level of rigor.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (ability to generate new forms and documents)
