About the role:

In this role youll have the opportunity to make a real difference to the Royal Navy Training Design Service. As the Media Team Lead youll support the Integrated Training Design Service to deliver learning that is blended active and provides customer delight.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrate previous leadership experience from a Learning and Development media role.
  • Demonstrate consolidated and in-depth experience of Training Media development.
  • Be an ambassador for learning collaboration and demonstrate best practices within the team.
  • Demonstrate excellent collaboration communication and adept at building strong relationships that will support training transformation and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate strong leaderships skills that inspire and drive successful outcomes and supports team wellbeing and growth.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail a passion for quality and be able to plan and multitask.
  • Ability to interpret technical and non-technical information and apply it to visual media and interactions.
  • Excellent IT skills using a variety of platforms including Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

  • ADDIE model and Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
  • Training and/or Instructional Design.
  • Programme management tools and applications.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of UK Ministry Defence procedures and policies.
  • Contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to technical problems.
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all graphics media production and support services assigned to you and your team with regards to training transformation. An advocate for the creation of training content that is not only active and engaging but also inclusive and learner centric.
  • Driving the Media team in the production of interactive innovative and engaging media content adhering to the Courseware and Media production process.
  • Ensuring that media production for training courses supports the end-to-end media and training design processes adheres to quality standards and that each task is resourced appropriately for success. Proactively addressing resolving and escalating any challenges that may impact delay to delivery.
  • Primary point of contact for the media requirements in your location. Ensuring comprehensive reporting and collaborative communication to aid the continuous improvement of the Integrated Training Design Service. Working in partnership with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Act as a technical lead to ensure that processes follow latest direction and guidance in accordance with defence policy.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships with subject matter experts to positively contribute towards training transformation.
  • Lead build and nurture high-performing teams fostering collaboration and leveraging diverse talents to achieve common goals. Motivating and inspiring others to perform at their best fostering a positive and productive work environment that supports well-being. Responsible for the management of employee relations within the human resources context.
  • Supervise the local administration and maintenance of media course content/documentation onto the selected Defence Learning Environment Moodle ensuring the Defence Learning Environment is utilised to the best of its ability.
  • Identify solutions to meet customer requirements balancing time cost and quality and define the solution at the appropriate level of detail.
  • Responsible for building effective customer relationships with excellent communication and collaboration skills working in partnership to continuously improve Media design.
  • Accountable for the continuous professional development and the growth of team members and yourself to unlock full potential and contribute effectively to organisational success.
  • Adhering to the Quality Assurance procedures and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with MoD & Raytheon (Team Fisher) policies regulations and procedures.
  • Responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Follow security standards and system requirements to protect data and ensure smooth operations.
  • Any other duties required to complete the Integrated Training Design Service.
  • Occasional travel to other customer sites may be required.
