Job Description

Whats the Short Version
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is to inspects product at our Distribution Center to ensure it meets specifications.
What Will You Be Doing
- Inspect selected inbound product according to SanMar Product Quality requirements and specifications (measurement workmanship label verification color match etc.).
- Record inspection results and discrepancies and escalate product quality concerns as appropriate.
- Communicate any specification discrepancies including color with Eastpointe PQA.
- Follow any and all protocols procedures and communication from Eastpointe PQA regarding inspecting recording and reporting of product quality.
- Complete inspections in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all products are re-packed after inspection in the manner they were received.
- Systematically adjust case quantities for any samples sent to Eastpointe PQA.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
What Are We Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of Quality Control inspection experience from any industry. Industry specific orientation and training will be provided.
- Ability to read write and have sufficient ability to accurately identify colors sizes quantity label and SKU information.
- Basic math skills in counting and quantity required.
- Able to follow directions and adapt to change in job priorities or duties as dictated by business needs.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in high demand high volume environment and meet deadlines.
- Organization skills; ability to maintain accurate records of documents standards etc.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily responsibilities.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Able to work both independently and within a team and also closely with PQA team at HQ.
- Knowledge of internal operating system(s) and Microsoft Office (Access Excel word) as necessary.
- Must be open to training and also train others in aspects of the position when required.
- Must have good color perception skills (successfully accomplish the Munsell 100 Hue Test).
Whats Our Offer
Salary Range: Salary starts at $18.40 on an hourly basis depending on experience
Bonus: Youll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 5% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: Youll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect
DC Warehouse (Non-Equipment): While performing the duties of this job the employee is constantly required to stand walk talk and hear. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds occasionally up to 60 pounds. The employee frequently uses both hands as well as full range of motion of the neck head and back. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms grasp and perform repetitive hand wrist and arm motions. The employee is frequently required to climb stairs kneel/squat bend and carry. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be required to wear a headset covering one or both ears. Basic literacy is required for operation of machines and necessary daily paperwork. Work environment is moderately noisy. The employee is occasionally required to work near conveyor systems. There is exposure to dust and changes in weather conditions. Work is performed under typical warehouse conditions. Potential hazards exist with regard to machinery such as forklifts pallet jacks mechanized systems etc. Work environment is hectic and fast-paced. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and can be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions.
