Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of the Registered Dietitian in providing nutrition care for patients/residents in accordance with current federal state and local standards guidelines and regulations that govern the facility.
• Assist in planning preparing and delivering resident meals according to individual dietary needs and physician orders.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to assess and implement residents nutritional plans.
• Follow food safety sanitation and therapeutic diet guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of residents dietary requirements and adjustments.
• Interact positively with residents staff and guests providing excellent customer service and support.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment utensils and dining areas.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nutrition/dietetics or Certified Dietary Manager required.
• 1-3 years of dietary experience in long-term care in a consultant or supervisory role required.
• In the process of obtaining Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred.
• General knowledge of nutrition food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Ability to follow meal schedules and read food tray cards accurately.
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain records.
• Ability to interact positively with residents and staff.
• Must be able to lift/carry 10 lbs. push/pull 10 lbs. and work around food and cleaning products.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
• Must live in the service area.
