GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Kirkwood Community College seeks a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as lab intern in Industrial Maintenance program. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge base in Electrical theory including 3 phase NEC residential and commercial wiring applied electrical math mechanical drives electrical and mechanical maintenance. Tutoring experience at the college level is desirable. Primary duties will include tutoring students in the lab and in their studies outside of class. It is preferred that they would be knowledgeable in the safety standards to keep students safe in the lab. It is also preferable that this individual be able to lecture in these subjects if another instructor would need to be absent. They must also be willing to build repair and maintain lab equipment. Must be available to assist in daytime classes.
UNIVERSAL CORE COMPETENCIES:
Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing pushing pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting walking repetitive motion talking and hearing.
Must have experience in the field or in the material covered in the courses. Basic computer skills required.
