Job Overview:

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a motivated detail-oriented professional interested in a data analytics career with the State of Ohio. This position is perfect for individuals who are new to the data analytics field and eager to learn. You will gain hands-on experience working with data developing analytical skills and contributing to real-world business decisions. As a Data Analytics Associate your responsibilities will include:

  • gathering and inputting data from various sources into databases and spreadsheets with accuracy
  • assisting in identifying and correcting data inconsistencies and preparing datasets for analysis
  • conducting data analyses using tools like Excel or basic SQL queries
  • helping create and maintain reports and dashboards to track key metrics and performance indicators
  • collaborating with team members across the agency to support ongoing healthcare projects and initiatives on topics
  • taking advantage of on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities to build your skills in data analytics
  • successful completion of 36 months as a Data Analytics Associate will result in the selected candidate(s) automatically progressing to the Data Analytics Specialist position

Those from a variety of backgrounds including but not limited to public health public administration business administration information technology informatics data analytics sociology and political science are encouraged to apply.

12 mos. exp. or data analytics applied mathematics statistics industrial/systems.
