Job Description

Your mission
  • Lead the mechanical engineering process for the industrialization of products.
  • Collaborate in the research and development stage with the Robotics department to review co-design and test the products.
  • Collaborate and support the production team to ensure seamless production in the scope of mechanical design industrialization.
  • Collaborate in qualification and interactions with the subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Support the coordination of product certification activities with technical solutions.
  • Synchronise with each team to enhance product quality performance and manufacturability.
  • Ensure that the design meets quality manufacturability assembly time and cost goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement while maintaining high standards of quality and maintainability.
  • Stay up to date with the latest manufacturing techniques which could be applied to products
  • Maintain a general overview of the best sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Ensure writing and review of assembly and quality control procedures related to your scope.
  • Maintain an up to date and high-quality documentation in relation to your contributions

Your profile
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial mechanical engineering (at least 7 years of direct experience) with a strong background in bringing products from prototypes to scale production.
  • Solid educational background in mechanical engineering.
  • Familiarity with product cycles certification standards and processes specific to drones or comparable technologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software (such as Solidworks) with a focus on mechanical design for robots ideally drones.
  • Expertise in design for manufacturability and production optimisation.
  • Hands-on experience with drone assembly and/or mobile robotics is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in 3D printing technologies and materials is a plus.
  • Quality-focused with strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; fluency in English is required and French is an advantage.
  • Solution-oriented rigorous self-motivated and detail-oriented team player.
