Job Description
Job Title: Network Engineer SME
Start Date: ASAP
Position Type: Contract
Location: Latham NY 12110 (Hybrid)
Number of Hours: 40 hours a week

- Bachelors degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Telecommunications And minimum 5 years of experience in network design and operations
- 10 years of relevant hands-on experience (if no degree)
- 5 years of enterprise network design systems engineering and troubleshooting
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls
- 4 years with routing protocols: OSPF BGP MPLS VPLS VRF
- 3 years working with Cisco Nexus switches in complex environments
- 3 years designing and troubleshooting Layer 2 & 3 topologies: VLANs EtherChannel VPCs
- 3 years of experience handling UCaaS and Contact Center migrations
- 2 years experience with cloud networking and hybrid connectivity (Azure AWS Oracle)
- 2 years working with SDWAN solutions especially Palo Alto
- 2 years of deep troubleshooting using Wireshark Sniffer Ethereal
- 2 years working with AAA security protocols (TACACS RADIUS)
- Certification CCNA or CCNP Certification desired
- PCNSA or PCNSE Certification desired
- CCIE Certification desired
- JNCIP Certification desired
