Job Description:
As an Azure Engineer at PwC you will be responsible for designing implementing and managing Azure-based solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient operation of cloud environments applying best practices to optimize performance security and cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deploy Azure infrastructure solutions including virtual networks storage accounts and virtual machines
Implement and manage Azure services such as Azure Active Directory Azure App Services and Azure SQL Database
Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance reliability and cost-effectiveness
Automate deployment and configuration processes using tools like Azure DevOps ARM templates and PowerShell scripts
Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices including identity and access management
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services
Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployment and integration
Stay updated with the latest Azure features and industry trends to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Azure Engineer or in a similar cloud engineering role
Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure services and architecture
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates Terraform or Bicep
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments
Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work independently
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator Azure Solutions Architect)
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises infrastructure
Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud is a plus
