The Access Consultant provides or arranges for reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities or medical conditions to ensure access to courses programs facilities services and activities on campus. The Access Consultant also works in collaboration with persons with disabilities and campus partners to improve the understanding and support of the University community. This position serves all students and their instructors and programs on the Metro State University campuses.
Salary Range:
47607.00 - 93342.00 USD Annual
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of professional experience.
Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding access for people with disabilities.
Experience in providing consultation on disability issues.
Communication sufficient to prepare messages and materials for diverse audiences and clearly explain discuss and present complex ideas regulations policies and/or procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS in Rehabilitation Counseling Social Work Counseling Psychology or related field.
Knowledge and understanding of trends and issues in disability access in a college setting.
Project planning development and social media management skills.
Certification in American Sign Language.
Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
M-F

Metro State University Minnesotas public urban university and four-time recipient of the Insight into Diversity Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award is seeking to hire an Access Consultant. This is a full-time/probationary position within the Center for Accessibility Resources (CAR).
