Job Summary

THE ROLE

Starlight Energy the renewable energy development platform of NextEnergy Group is seeking a highly motivated curricular intern to support different activities across various functions. The internship will provide hands-on exposure to the renewable energy sector giving the candidate the opportunity to contribute to ongoing projects while developing strong analytical financial and professional skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • During the internship the candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of activities including but not limited to:

    • Monitoring the progress of projects in the development pipeline
    • Supporting the evaluation of new renewable energy projects
    • Conducting market research and analysis on renewable energy markets regulatory frameworks competitors and industry trends in key geographies
    • Preparing presentations dashboards and reports to support decision-making and internal discussions
    • Collaborating with different functions (Business Development Financial Technical Legal) to contribute to the advancement of projects
    • Assisting with day-to-day tasks gaining exposure to different areas of the business

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with strong analytical skills
    • Fluency in Italian and English both written and spoken
    • Attention to detail and ability to work with data in a structured way
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
    • Curiosity adaptability and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment
    • Passion for our mission: to generate a more sustainable future by leading the transition to clean energy

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Academic background in Economics Finance Engineering or a related field would be positively considered
  • Specific skills: experience in database analysis development of financial models and cash flow analysis. Prior experience in major Investment Banks Private Equity firms or Advisory Boutiques as well as any activity related to renewable energy is considered a plus but not strictly required
  • Personal skills: the ability to work in a team analytical and problem-solving skills proactive approach attention to detail strong results orientation and ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines. Strong interest in the renewable energy sector
  • Right to work in Italy
