This Is Your Moment

  • Develop case strategies provide leadership and guide paralegals and legal assistants
  • Handle full caseloads independently from case inception to resolution
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memos on complex case issues
  • Draft review and file pleadings motions briefs and contracts as needed
  • Appear in court for various family law proceedings representing clients in high-stakes situations
  • Prepare clients for trials advocate on their behalf and work with experts when necessary
  • Oversee the division of marital assets and negotiate settlements in divorce cases
  • Maintain organized client files ensuring documentation accuracy and timeliness
  • Cultivate relationships with clients providing clear communication and emotional support through challenging situations

Who Were Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in Family Law litigation and courtroom advocacy (required)
  • Licenses: Licensed to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia
  • Skill Set: Excellent written and verbal communication skills strategic problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Mindset: A compassionate and resilient advocate with experience navigating high-stress emotional cases with a client-focused approach
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in analyzing and summarizing legal documents with strong attention to detail
  • Team-Focused: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Estate Planning experience
  • Proven success in advocating for both plaintiffs and defendants
  • Strong negotiation skills especially under stressful conditions
