What we do
As part of the UniCredit Group Aion Bank and Vodeno will accelerate their digital banking offer in strategic markets and will act as a sandbox for innovation for the wider UniCredit Group.
Based on financial sector know-how and expertise in cloud technology we provide a set-up of customer-facing and daily banking services which include: digital onboarding accounts cards payments and lending with a white-label mobile app channel access.

What you will be doing
Most junior jobs ease you in with bug fixes and internal tools. This isnt one of those. Here youll work in a real fintech production environment where time-to-market matters and youll deal with a wide spectrum of systems from well-architected modern microservices to messy spaghetti-style legacy that still runs business-critical flows.
Youll also help design and build ournext-generation customer platformwhile supporting client integrations into our existing BaaS stack. Expect tojuggle multiple technologies and tasks in parallel with coding being about 3050% of your time and the rest onAPIs automation integrations and documentation.
The environment is fast-paced and sophisticated but you wont be left alone. You will have guidance from a senior developer integration engineers and an architect who will review your work provide direction and help shape your growth. Over time youll take on bigger responsibilities as your knowledge deepens.

Backend Development Contribute to Java/Spring Boot microservices and automation scripts.
API Work Assist in designing documenting and testing partner-facing APIs.
Process Automation Support onboarding workflows using BPMN (Flowable).
Systems Variety Work across bothbeautifully architected systemsandspaghetti-style legacy learning how real-world platforms evolve.
New Platform Participate in building anew customer portal platformfrom scratch.
Cloud & Ops Get hands-on with GCP Kubernetes Kafka SQL/NoSQL CI/CD pipelines and observability stacks.
Fintech Learning Gain exposure to banking/fintech concepts such as onboarding payments compliance and security.
Guided Growth Learn directly from senior developers and architects with mentoring on clean code resilient design and best practices.
Skills you should have
You have:
Programming foundation in Java (Spring Boot preferred).
Basic understanding ofREST APIsand relational databases.
Curiosity aboutcloud-native technologies(containers Kubernetes CI/CD).
Ability to learn quickly when faced with multiple unfamiliar systems.
Independencein problem-solving and persistence when things are unclear.
Strong motivation to learnboth technology and fintech domain knowledge.
