About the Role
The post holder will be working for Nottingham City Council Enviroenergy department as an EE Monitor Technician - Electrician. The post holder will be required to undertake high quality electrical work mechanical installations or associated infrastructure works of a specialist nature on a local and national basis. The role predominantly supports works on the national domestic properties within our portfolio but will also include works on our local district heating customer base as and when required. The post holder will have a varied and exciting role servicing and maintaining the current prepayment solution installed in National district heating properties installing our own in-house decentralised energy payment metering solution the EE Monitor commissioning of these and undertaking all other installation works this could be fitting a router installing a data logger solution or installing a heat meter on site and any other associated works as required.
Lead Specialist Energy and Infrastructure Projects
Take a leadership role in delivering high-quality electrical mechanical energy and infrastructure projects at both local and national levels. This includes managing works associated with the London Road Heat Station District Heating Networks Combined Heat and Power (CHP) schemes and other energy-related assets. Support with the full project lifecycle from initial site surveys design and quotations through to installation commissioning and final handover. This includes the installation and integration of EE Monitors to support the delivery of comprehensive metering and billing services.
Collaborate with Key Stakeholders
Work closely with Developers Clients and Project Leads to ensure project requirements are met and align with the Councils strategic objectives. Facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders to guarantee a seamless process from project inception to completion. Provide expert advice and guidance on technical specifications regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
Ensure Accreditation and Compliance Standards
Hold responsibility for certifying that all works meet industry accreditation standards and regulatory requirements ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Drive Innovation in the Energy Sector
Contribute as a key member of the project team focusing on developing and implementing innovative solutions in the deregulated energy market. Stay abreast of industry advancements and emerging technologies to enhance the performance and sustainability of energy infrastructure projects.
