Job Description: Supervisor Manufacturing
Essential Functions:
- Provides day-to-day work direction for direct report(s) focuses on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions.
- Understands leadership approaches and has practical knowledge of Operations (Quality/Production Control/Manufacturing/Test/Engineering).
- Provides input on hiring termination promotion performance and/or compensation decisions for direct report(s).Reports to Assoc. Manager or higher.
- Communicates with parties inside and outside of own team to explain and interpret policies practices and procedures for the area of responsibility.
- Adjusts procedures and processes. Plans and establishes operational objectives for a team with some impact on department results.
- Makes adjustments in procedures and processes to solve problems.
- Identifies defines and addresses general problems that are typically within the immediate job area or team.
- Assigns tasks to a team to achieve operational targets service standards etc.
- May manage day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g. costs associated with maintaining area supplies and overtime of staff).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 2 years prior relevant lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Understands supervisory approaches such as work scheduling prioritizing and process execution.
- Typically requires broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned discipline.
- Applicable manufacturing or engineering experience preferred.
