Position Summary

In this rapidly evolving world New Vision is always looking for new ways to disrupt the status quo go to market faster and optimize customer experiences. We are seeking an experienced business analyst to lead the charge on this mission. The ideal candidate will have big ideas and strategies that foster an environment of collaboration and creativity. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and real-world experience distilling business value and goals into roadmaps and refined product backlogs. Most importantly you will be integral to helping us build better products that people or businesses love to use.

Work with business analysts other cross teams and vendor resources to understand software functionality. Develop formal requirements use cases and solution documentation. Responsible for reporting development status and other relevent life cycle updates and metrics as needed.

Prior experience with implementing a new technical application and documenting relevant functionality is preferred. Previous production support experience is a plus.

Mission: To own a customer-validated MVP that proves measurable readiness gains. To own product goals.

Objectives of this Role

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to craft vision and concept development of a product
  • Take lead of scrum teams defining product vision roadmap and growth opportunities communicating with stakeholders throughout the project
  • Work with internal and external contacts to analyse needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals
  • Work closely with product management/business teams to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value
  • Keep up with agile/scrum best practices and trends

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

Product Backlog

  • Product Backlog is one of the primary responsibilities of the business analyst
  • He/she must own and define the product backlog with customers according to requirements.
  • The Business analyst must first update the product backlog list.
  • Following this activity there must be proper prioritizing of the backlog based on urgency and criticality of the requirements.
  • The proper sequence of development also needs to be appropriately charted out.
  • This product backlog list needs to be updated continuously.
  • As the products needs change and evolve the backlog list also needs to be continually updated.
  • The product backlog must be made available to all the stakeholders since it is dynamic and subject to many changes.
  • Foster relationships with the Dayshape vendor Technology and global support teams.

Development Stages

  • A Business analyst must also be actively involved in the product development process.
  • As the customer objectives and vision change the same needs to be continuously monitored and communicated to the development team.
  • A Business analyst must also be present and lead in all cadence and review calls and meetings.
  • It is always good for a Business analyst to take the initiative and be a part of sprint review meetings while identifying areas of improvement.
  • Monitor & work on Service Now Tickets and their associated SLEs

Acting as a Primary Point of Contact

  • The Business analyst role is unique and in that he/she is the primary point of contact for all the relevant stakeholders.
  • He/she must make sure there is an appropriate buy-in from customers along with management and development teams.
  • This is important for the smooth execution of the project and product delivery.

Communicating Customer Vision

  • A Business analyst needs to have a clear perspective on customer goals and objectives.
  • This needs to be adequately defined and communicated with all the relevant stakeholders.
  • This includes the customer development team scrum master project team and the corresponding business managers.

Adept and Anticipate Customer Needs

  • A Business analyst must have an adequate market and industry experience not just to understand but also anticipate customer needs.
  • A Business analyst should also understand the customer requirements from a journey lifecycle perspective.
  • This will help him/her know long term customer goals and anticipate changes and new requirements better.



Required Education Qualifications and Experience

Technical Skills

  • MVP slicing experience; backlog hygiene
  • Ability to talk to blue teams
  • Ability to work with CxO level (CTO/CIO/CISO)
  • Basic MITRE ATT&CK literacy
  • Show knowledge of client businesses and their processes.
  • Ability to understand/modify existing Functional Documents
  • Closely work with the Vendor Team on High Priorty issues
  • Ability to handle production support issues and requests
  • Demonstrates ability to work with clients and internal team to define specific requirements
  • Executes services required within the SLA and communicate to the customer
  • Have knowledge on VSTS (Azure DevOps) or any defect management tool
  • Assist with support process definitions
  • Ability to work along product management tools like
    • Story Management tool Jira Shortcut ADO etc.
    • Workflow builder tools Miro Visio etc.
    • Prototyping tool Axure Figma Invision
  • Nice to have: B2B security PO experience


Other Qualifications

  • Advanced written and oral communication skills (English required)
  • Strong analytical and evaluation skills
  • Experience working in a Agile methodology (SAFe Agile preferred)
  • Experience in application documentation and facilitation skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to define operational user requirements within a structured system development lifecycle methodology
  • Responsible for communication and documentation related to assigned tasks
  • Share knowledge across team

Preferred Education Qualifications and Experience

  • Education
    1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent education
  • Experience
  1. 4-8 years of experience as a business analyst
    1. Experience working with Agile development processes
    2. Exposure or knowledge on SAFe agile process is desirable
    3. Application production support
    4. Professional services industry experience a plus
