About Leonardslee House
We operate within the spectacular Grade I listed woodland gardens of Leonardslee Estate in West Sussex. Our venue combines Restaurant Interlude a Michelin-starred dining destination with a luxury 10-bedroom hotel that delivers exceptional guest experiences.
Restaurant Interlude earned its Michelin star in 2019 and maintains three AA rosettes since 2020. Executive Chef Jean Delport leads our kitchen team with one clear mission: connecting nature directly with cuisine. We change our set menu regularly drawing inspiration from our estate gardens kitchen garden and local organic producers. This approach creates a pantry through careful harvesting and preservation capturing the essence of each season.

The Role
You will serve as the primary point of contact for our guests ensuring each visitor enjoys an outstanding experience from arrival to departure. This role demands excellent communication skills attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within our close-knit team.
Your responsibilities span guest interaction order management and maintaining our high standards of service and presentation. You will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure smooth operations whilst representing our brand values to every guest.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
Welcome guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently
Guide guests through their dining experience with knowledge and enthusiasm
Address inquiries complaints and special requests with professionalism
Ensure each guest feels valued throughout their visit
Service Excellence
Take orders accurately and communicate dietary requirements to kitchen staff
Serve food and beverages to our exacting standards
Process payments efficiently using cash and card systems
Promote special dishes and enhance the guest experience through thoughtful recommendations
Operational Excellence
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all dining and public areas
Clear reset and sanitise tables between services
Support daily opening and closing procedures
Monitor stock levels for beverages condiments and service items
Coordinate effectively with kitchen and service teams
Environment Standards
Uphold the highest standards of presentation in all guest areas
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Maintain the elegant atmosphere that reflects our Michelin-starred status
What Were Looking For

Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and pride in high standards
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Flexibility to work Thursday through Sunday shifts
