Maintenance Helper Job Duties
- Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.
- Cuts grass and trims weeds on organizations property.
- Cleans internal areas of buildings including buffing dusting sweeping and mopping.
- Washes windows.
- Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for weekly pickup.
- Paints interior and exterior walls and trim.
- Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
- Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
- Helps to maintain and repair buildings plumbing and electrical systems including replacing worn defective parts such as switches and fuses.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all resident staff and organization information.
Maintenance Helper Requirements
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training.
- Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record.
