Travel Requirements:

This position requires regular travel throughout the following states: Arkansas Louisiana New Mexico Oklahoma Tennessee and Texas.Candidates must be willing and able to travel as needed based on project assignments.

Job Summary:

RailProsis seeking an individual eager to be trained as aRoadway Worker In Charge (RWIC)toprotect and manage job sites.No prior railroad experience is needed. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Jobsite Protection:Ensure accurate and error-freejobsite protectionfor each assignment. This includesradio communicationwithtrain dispatchersand engineers ensuring work groups are clear of limits duringtrain movements and granting permission for trains and on-track equipment to proceed through limits.
  • Daily Briefings:Conductdaily job briefingswith all personnel on-site ensuring compliance withrailroad safety requirements.
  • Documentation:Prepare and submit requiredelectronic forms including job set-up forms for eachflagging assignmentdaily work reportsinvoices and other necessary reports.
  • Tool Handling:Handle and placesignsderail and other tools and equipment weighing between 15 to 90 pounds as needed throughout the day.
  • Safety Training:Actively participate in routinesafety classesandqualification training.
  • Communication:Maintain high levels ofcommunicationwith RWICsupervisorsand managers regarding assignments and schedules.
  • Additional Duties:Perform other tasks as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diplomaor equivalent (GED).
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful outcome of pre-employment and recurring background checks and drug and alcohol testing as well as classroom and field training including assessments. Successful completion of all onboarding and recurring training requirements is mandatory for continued employment.
