What you will be doing
You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Graduate Operations Specialist and can expect to be involved in the following:
Project work supporting the continuous improvement of the Airbus Final Assembly process during a period of continuous ramp-up at our Mobile Manufacturing Facility.
Daily operations leadership support across the Final Assembly Lines at a multi-program commercial aerospace manufacturing facility including developing and tracking key metrics aircraft build progress management and supporting the deployment of new systems processes and tools.
You will learn how to use SAP MES as well as other Airbus manufacturing ecosystem IT tools
Additionally you will gain experience and knowledge in lean manufacturing principles as well as an awareness of aerospace manufacturing critical people skills and customer relationship management.
Throughout this program you will develop as a professional through a series of rotational placements designed to support your professional development. Placements could include: directly supporting different phases of the manufacturing process rotations through the quality department or in adjacent departments and/or sites dependent on your personal development needs as determined by you and your manager.
Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.
Throughout the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of Graduate Operations Specialist!
What we are looking for
To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme you will need to demonstrate you have:
A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of engineering manufacturing or business (0 - 3 years of experience)
Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
A desire to work in a collaborative team environment focused on driving future innovation
The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
Ability to work in the US without current or future need of visa sponsorship

Physical Requirements
Onsite or remote: 100% Onsite
Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens able to read documents reports and engineering drawings.
Hearing: able to hear and participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings deliver information and participate in communications.
Equipment Operation (personal computer telephone copies fax machine and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
Carrying: able to carry documents tools drawings electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Lifting: able to lift documents tools drawings electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings working on computer.
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice potentially internationally.
Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes but is not limited to Safety Shoes Safety Glasses Hearing Protection Respirators/Masks and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visit appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
