N-iX is looking for a MiddleManual QA Engineer to join our team.

Every day the company completes 5 million student journeys moving more passengers than all U.S. airlines combined and delivers reliable quality services for 1100 school districts.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the BA team and developers to understand requirements and identify areas of testing.
- Participate in test plan creation test case design and continuous improvement of the automation testing process.
- Verify acceptance criteria and enrich them
- Execute testing to identify defects and ensure the functionality and performance of our software applications is working properly.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing.
- Perform test data preparation.
- Contribute to the enhancement of test automation frameworks and infrastructure.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve operational challenges and bottlenecks.
- Stay updated with the latest trends tools and best practices in quality assurance.
- Gather testing metrics
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2 years of overall QA experience
- In-depth knowledge of test metrics approaches and best practices.
- Need to have backend testing experience (API testing hands-on experience with relational databases)
- Experience with bug tracking (Jira) and test management tools - TestRail or similar)
- Extensive DB knowledge (JOINs aggregate functions types of relations)
- Experience with Kafka is strongly preferred
- Application log tracing and troubleshooting (Datadog ELK or similar)
- Knowledge of browser-specific testing tools will be a plus
- Experience working with AWS will be a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
