Job Summary

We are excited to announce that we are looking for a detail-oriented Proofreader to join our team at the award-winning art and pop culture magazine Bored Panda. If you have a sharp eye for grammar style and tone and love polishing engaging celebrity entertainment relationship and social-issues content this is the role for you! Get ready to work for a leading publisher of uplifting stories that entertain and inspire readers worldwide.
What You Will Do:
- Proofread fast and precisely celebrity/entertainment articles relationship pieces social-issues features quick news hits and all kinds of listicles before they go live;
- Tighten headlines intros decks and image captions so theyre clear punchy and on-brand for Bored Panda;
- Ensure spotless grammar style structure and tone consistency while keeping copy scannable for the web;
- Do light fact-checking and name/date/quote verification; flag sensitivity issues and ensure proper credits/sources;
- Juggle high volume and tight deadlines - speed and accuracy are paramount - while collaborating smoothly with editors and writers.
What We Expect:
- Native English skills;
- Excellent understanding of lexis and vocabulary tone and style structure grammar and other language nuances;
- Experience in blogging and web content creation.
