Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- Operate TrueBeam linear accelerators and other radiation equipment.
- Verify treatment plans and perform patient setup using imaging guidance.
- Monitor patient condition and report any unusual reactions to treatment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Ensure safety protocols and quality control standards are strictly followed.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families.
Requirements:
- Active New York Radiation Therapy License (must be in hand).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in radiologic/imaging with preference for Oncology/Radiology.
- TrueBeam experience required.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
- Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy physiology and medical terminology.
