Job Description
IN SHORT
Our software ecosystem spans internal operational tools like our Warehouse App PickbyLight System Inventory Management and Menu Planning platforms; customerfacing POS solutions for fridges and coffee machines; and mobile and web apps for end consumers.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and coordinate all software development activities and priorities across our Swiss and US markets including roadmap and project ownership
- Guide the development of a unified Software and IoT landscape and drive architectural decisions across the stack
- Transform internal applications into intuitive consumergrade tools that are easy to use require minimal training and support a plugandplay experience across teams and regions.
- Define and oversee a comprehensive authentication and authorization strategy for internal and external users including a robust access concept across the full stack.
- Lead and mentor a growing crossfunctional team of developers while maintaining high engineering standards and fostering a collaborative team culture
- Ensure smooth and coordinated feature delivery deployment processes and thirdlevel support for both CH and US Markets
- Take budget and cost ownership and actively manage internal and external resources for software development initiatives
OUR TECH STACK
Our platform is built using a modern cloudnative architecture. We run our services on Azure containerized with Docker and orchestrated via Kubernetes. Infrastructure is defined with Pulumi and managed through ArgoCD for GitOpsstyle deployments.
On the frontend we rely on React and TypeScript to deliver rich maintainable web interfaces. Backend services are primarily developed in C#/.NET and Python 3. For Pythonbased services we use Django alongside SQLAlchemy.
Our IoT layer powers smart fridges and devices using ARMbased SBCs running a custom Android OS along with an inhouse Android application. For our Gavetti product line we deploy a headless controller built on Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 running BalenaOS with a containerized Go application.
Our data stack includes Python DBT and Snowflake orchestrated with Airflow and visualized primarily through Tableau.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Senior Developer or Technical Lead with a strong handson engineering background
- Excellent understanding of software engineering principles and architecture with a strong sense for intuitive UI/UX design and experience creating plugandplay style applications
- Strong proficiency in technologies such as React TypeScript C#/.NET and Go
- Experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration (Azure Docker Kubernetes)
- Experience leading agile teams and mentoring developers with a genuine interest in people management and team development
- Passionate about clean maintainable code and scalable systems
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a handson proactive approach
- Fluent in English and German; French is a plus
