Job Summary:
This temporary-to-permanent Medical Assistant position requires providing clinical and administrative support in a primary care outpatient clinic setting. Responsibilities include patient rooming vital signs collection specimen collection medication administration and assisting with examinations. The role necessitates strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Local candidates only with a Washington state Medical Assistant license (MA-C or MA-R) are preferred.
Location: Redmond Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Obtaining patient vital signs (height weight pulse oximetry blood pressure respiration temperature pulse).
- Preparing patients for examinations including recording history medications and allergies.
- Administering injections (immunizations intradermal intramuscular).
- Collecting specimens (capillary sputum stool urinalysis) labeling specimens appropriately.
- Performing follow-up phone calls.
- Rooming patients.
- Reviewing lab tests.
- Assisting with other clinical tasks as needed.
- Performing administrative tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- One year of experience as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient clinic setting.
- Current Washington state Medical Assistant license (MA-C or MA-R).
- Proficiency in taking vital signs preparing patients for exams administering injections and collecting specimens.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with EPIC charting.
Special Considerations:
- This is a temporary-to-permanent position. Candidates must be willing to transition to a permanent role after the contract period.
- Local candidates only (within a 50-mile radius).
- Guaranteed hours with the possibility of up to one shift called off per pay period.
- Return-to-office (RTO) is accepted.
Scheduling:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with potential flexibility to adjust to five 8-hour shifts if preferred. Shift assignment will be discussed with the hiring manager. No weekend or on-call requirements.
