Job Summary:
This role is for a Certified Surgical Technologist to provide surgical support in a hospital setting. The position involves assisting surgeons during surgical procedures preparing operating rooms and maintaining a sterile environment. The technologist will work with a variety of surgical specialties and patient populations.

Location: Rochester New York United States
Responsibilities:
- Preparing operating rooms and surgical instruments for procedures.
- Assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.
- Maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Preparing patients for surgery.
- Assisting with post-operative care.
- Sterilizing and maintaining surgical equipment.
- Working with a variety of surgical specialties and patient populations (adult and pediatric).
- Adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.
- Maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Preparing patients for surgery.
- Assisting with post-operative care.
- Sterilizing and maintaining surgical equipment.
- Working with a variety of surgical specialties and patient populations (adult and pediatric).
- Adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA certification required unless the traveler has worked as a tech in NY prior to 2015).
- Experience working in an operating room environment.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with a variety of surgical specialties.
- Experience with pediatric patients.

Special Considerations:
- Weekend and on-call requirements: 1 call per week and 1 weekend per month.
- 23 operating rooms and 1 procedure room.
- Elective and emergency surgeries.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
- First-time travelers are accepted.

Scheduling:
- 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.
- Weekend days: Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
