Job Description
Job Title: Oracle PL/SQL Developer (Oracle APEX Modernization Public Health Surveillance)
Location: Atlanta GA (Hybrid - Local to Metro Atlanta)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Mandatory Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Computer Science MIS Engineering Business Administration or related field from an accredited college.
- 3 years of application development experience.
- 5 years of Oracle PL/SQL programming experience.
- 5 years of developing web application front-ends including hand-coded HTML JavaScript and experience with JavaScript frameworks.
- 5 years of experience with the full project lifecycle in implementing web-based systems.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle RDBMS.
- Strong troubleshooting skills self-motivated able to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Prior experience working in a public health government or healthcare environment.
- Experience with Oracle Apex development and modernization projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems or data-driven health applications.
- Collaborate with the legacy developer to understand the current Syndromic Surveillance (SS) module and ensure smooth knowledge transfer.
- Take ownership of the SS module and provide ongoing support to end users.
- Lead the redesign and redevelopment of functionality from PL/SQL to Oracle Apex framework.
- Develop test and deploy web applications and enhancements to meet modernization goals.
- Work with internal staff and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues optimize performance and improve system usability.
- Document processes configurations and workflows for knowledge sharing and long-term system sustainability.
