About the Role:
As a G10 Trader at Bunge you will lead us in enhancing our understanding and trading capabilities within the G10 currency and interest rate a constantly evolving global financial landscape you will be at the forefront identifying and executing trading strategies with a particular emphasis on volatility trading. Your goal is to generate significant returns for Bunge Financial Services department while contributing to the management of corporate risk within these markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification: Continuously monitor G10 markets analyzing interest rate differentials yield curves FX rates volatility surfaces and credit spreads to identify arbitrage opportunities including those arising from volatility mispricings and potential market dislocations.
Trading Strategy Development & Execution: Design and execute specific trading strategies within pre-defined risk limits to capitalize on identified opportunities. This includes managing trading positions optimizing execution and minimizing transaction costs with a strong focus on implementing and managing volatility-based strategies.
Risk Management: Implement and maintain robust risk management frameworks actively monitoring and mitigating market credit and operational risks associated with G10 trading activities. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with corporate risk management teams to share market insights and contribute to hedging strategies that mitigate Bunges G10 currency and interest rate exposures. Provide market color and analysis to support risk assessment and decision-making.
Reporting & Performance Measurement: Track and report on trading performance providing regular updates on P&L risk metrics and market developments. Analyze trading activity and identify areas for improvement.
Market Research & Innovation: Stay abreast of market trends regulatory changes and technological advancements impacting the G10 landscape. Explore new trading strategies and technologies to enhance performance with a focus on quantitative approaches and volatility modeling.
What You Bring:
You are an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills you can effectively convey market insights and trading recommendations in a structured and detailed way. Because of your structured approach you thrive in a fast-paced high-pressure environment managing multiple tasks and making sound decisions under tight deadlines.
Bachelors degree in Finance Economics or a related field. A Masters degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Financial Engineering Mathematics Statistics) or relevant certifications (CFA FRM) are highly desirable.
Minimum 10 years of proven success in G10 rates and FX trading with a deep understanding of market dynamics trading instruments (swaps options forwards) and risk management principles. Demonstrated expertise in volatility trading strategies and modeling is essential.
Extensive experience trading in G10 markets with a focus on currencies where Bunge has significant exposure (EUR CAD AUD CHF).
Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills are a must including advanced financial modeling statistical analysis and econometrics. Experience building and utilizing quantitative trading models is highly valued.
Specific experience with volatility options and interest rate strategy.
