Job Description

As a world leading Professional Conference Organizer (PCO) we specialise in connecting scientific communities by delivering seamless high-impact congresses in Switzerland and all over Europe.
As an IT System Engineer youll support our users on-site in Basel and take the lead in setting up maintaining and dismantling the IT infrastructure at our international congresses across Switzerland and Europe playing a vital role in delivering smooth high-impact events for scientific exchange.
Tasks
- Manage and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online SharePoint Teams Entra ID)
- Maintain and optimize our Hyper-V and Windows Server infrastructure
- Provide IT support across all levels (1st to 3rd line)
- Drive automation using tools like PowerShell and Intune
- Deliver hands-on IT support at congresses and events across Switzerland and Europe
Requirements
- Completed IT education or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT system administration or support
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Windows Server and Hyper-V
- Experience with end-user support and infrastructure services (1st3rd level)
- Basic understanding of networking and IT security
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g. PowerShell) is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support events on-site (approx. 5%)
- Independent structured and service-oriented working style
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) German a plus
